Position battles for Stamps
The former CFL receiving champ will want to make the trip to Regina for Friday pre season showdown with the Saskatchewan Roughriders,
places that sell cards against humanity, but Stamps head coach John Hufnagel was non committal after Thursday walkthrough.Question is,
cards against humanity game, can Hufnagel count on Rambo to be ready on Canada Day if he isn able to suit up for either exhibition outing? Or could somebody else win his starting job?The Stamps certainly have options at Rambo slotback position.Landan Talley has been patiently waiting his turn and didn disappoint when inserted into the lineup last season, racking up 317 yards on 19 receptions in seven appearances. Talley also made three trips to the endzone and showed good chemistry with quarterback Drew Tate, now the starting pivot at McMahon Stadium.Marquay McDaniel is also making a compelling argument for the job. He was a standout in the pre season opener against the Edmonton Eskimos, grabbing five passes for 56 yards and a major, plus pulling in a pass on a two point conversion. McDaniel was just two steps shy of a 1,000 yard campaign with the Hamilton Tiger Cats in 2010 and was on the Calgary club practice roster for two weeks last fall, so experience is not an issue.Nik Lewis is locked in at one slotback position, but for the first time in several seasons there no guarantee that Rambo will also be a part of the starting lineup. The intriguing battle is behind him. Joe Lobendahn is fully recovered from a serious knee injury and wants to show the same form that made him an important piece of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defence for four seasons, while speedster Deron Mayo made an impact as a you know what disturber on special teams in his first pre season appearance. There no guarantee that either guy will get any snaps in Friday exhibition finale in Saskatchewan, but keep an eye on who holding on field goal attempts that should be a good indication of who will start the season as the No. 3 gunslinger. Jon Gott made seven starts last season and should have the inside track,
cards against humanit, although he be making his pre season debut after being sidelined with a concussion. The other option is former University of Calgary Dinos offensive lineman Mark Dewit, who had an extended audition thanks to Gott absence last week. Dewit,
cards against humanitu, the guy in the Henry Burris trade, is in his fifth professional campaign but has seen limited action. Both will survive Saturday final cuts, but only one gets the first snap on Canada Day.
